Best Shot Monday

Whoa - how'd it get to be Monday again? I think I missed last week! I was so busy creating a slide show for the swim team banquet and planning a Makeover Birthday Party for my almost 13 year old daughter - both on Saturday!

It was A's idea to have a makeover party and I balked a bit - she doesn't wear makeup at this point. So I offered to have a Mary Kay consultant come and give the girl's pointers and tips and samples. But she said "No. That's too formal." So I asked her if she wanted me to back off and not "organize" anything and she said "Yes!"...so we went to the store and loaded the basket with all kinds of eye shadow, mascara, blushes, powders, blending pads, throw aways mascara wands (cuz no sharing - eeewww!), brushes, mirrors...and the girl's had a free-for-all makeover session! They had a great time deciding if they were "cool" or "warm" skin girls; experimenting and helping each other apply the makeup. They did each other's hair too - choice of flat iron or curling iron. Then I draped them with shiny gold or silver fabric and took their pictures. (Sort of off the shoulder glamorous!)

Now, you might be saying, where is one of THOSE photographs for BSM?? Well, as much as I hate to admit it, they didn't really come out all that great! I took LOTS of pictures... tried changing the lighting and changing the settings on my camera...but mostly...blurry. So that was kind of disappointing.

BUT - the girls really had fun and that's what they'll remember. And my BSM is what I'll remember:

Go check out the other BSM's over at Tracey's!

Best Shot Monday

Hi all! My first Best Shot Monday, which , as you MUST know, is sponsored by Tracey!

I took a car load of teenage girls to the M&M Factory Store in Vegas last month and started to follow them into this tunnel - but after I took the picture I got a nasty flash of vertigo and had to go sit down! The lights were spinning and so was my head!
