The owner of her pre-school, Linda Juranek of KidWorks, has just retired after 25 years. Linda created the most outstanding pre-school EVER.
It was a haven for fun learning and exploring and nothing Linda ever did was textbook. It was always creative and enriching: Art Faire, washing shirts "down by the river", fish printing, Thanksgiving Feast...they were all wonderful experiences for the kids.
I look back on those years with my daughter and later, my son, and I see how Linda was able to even teach ME! She taught me that it was ok to color outside the lines-something that was so hard for me. I am inherently orderly and precise. I love that now I have the ability to relax and enjoy things for what they are right now in the moment; that everything does not have to be just so. (I confess to not always being able to reach this calm state of mind!!)
So thank you Linda, for the art of my 4 year old - both of them! And for giving us the memories of a lifetime! We will treasure them always.

That's gorgeous. It would look fantastic on my dining room wall.
